Kitchen and Dining/Living Area

THE CHALLENGE:

“Our kitchen is just too small… we love to cook! And we love our coffee!” and the adjoining dining/living area had no-longer-wanted sunken floors, an older dark brick fireplace and it just didn’t work for this couple any longer.

How can we updated both and have them coordinate and flow well?

Oh, we got this!

THE STORY

First things first, we knocked out a couple walls and opened up the space. Then raised the living room floor to match. After installing new flooring, a custom butcher block center island, larger range with dual ovens, a custom coffee area and lighter/brighter walls and cabinetry, we put in a new nook facing the living area, updated the fireplace, added a new dining area, floors and brighter walls. 

WOW! The difference is astounding and this cooking- and-coffee-loving couple has their dream kitchen!
